In addition to shows and business events Academy Events is active in the organisation of public events and in sponsor consultancy. Academy's largest public event, Horse Event, takes place at NHB Deurne annually. This event offers an educational program with national and international top trainers and riders. In 2006 over 28.000 people visited more than 100 clinics, 50 seminars and 75 information stands.

In 2004 Academy Bartels introduced a new project: the FNRS Seat Competition. Throughout the country riders could participate in these qualifiers at their riding school. The best participants went on to the regional championships. The semi finals and the final are held at Horse event.
